The saddest day today, we’ve lost our foundation and the beating heart of our Smeafield Coloured Ryeland flock. Greenfield Pendragon pet name Ramiro, who we bought from Stephen & Sally Ramsden, and our first ram.
He has been an absolute joy and pleasure to own, always the perfect gentleman, he really was just that…’the perfect gentle man’, He produced us the most lovely of offspring including our gorgeous Gizmo, Smeafield Xowie, who won first time out.
Its a very raw and tough day, I hope I can do him justice when his last offspring will arrive in the next couple of weeks. Devastated.
**Update 1st Feb** I had a P.M. carried out on our lovely boy, just had the results and he died due to heart attack.
