On Farm Isolation Facility Approval

Really pleased to have been granted approval for on farm isolation facility.  This means that we can now show our sheep without having to go on total 6 day standstill.

Under normal circumstances when livestock comes on to the farm we are then on standstill for 6 days meaning no livestock can move off the premises for 6 days.  Some of the summer shows are on consecutive days, or are within 6 days and of course this then meant that we could only go to one show within the 6 day period.

However now we have an APHA & DEFRA approved isolation facility our sheep come in from the show into the isolation unit and paddock but can leave to go to another show from those premises.  We had to meet a number of criteria in order to be granted permission.  So really pleased to have met the standards and have passed the inspection so we can now show our sheep more often and promote and support the breed.
